An innovative programme which combines language school and traditional camp entertainment
Intensive short English course and everyday London excursions await the campers during the first week in Britain. The second week also includes studying the language and excursions, but at a more relaxing pace.
During these 2 weeks, campers will:
- dive into English speaking environment
- meet peers from all over the world and maybe find lifelong friends
- feel like an English while discovering and immerging into the lifestyle of locals
ENGLISH 24/7
35 HOURS OF ENGLISH LESSONS DURING 2 WEEKS
English programme consists of 2 parts. The first part is intensively studying with British teachers, learning new key language and grammar, and vocabulary enrichment. The second part is about studying with the English teachers in the action method. Campers will work on their projects during these lessons and master speaking skills during Speaking clubs.
Everyday communication, excursions and evening events are also conducted in English. Full immersion is guaranteed!
CAMP PROGRAMME
The cultural programme of the camp is as reach as the English studying programme, and also contains developmental elements. During the first week, campers have excursions to the outstanding London attractions and sights. The excursion choice depends on the date of arrival and includes 5 half-day excursions and 1 full-day excursion.
The second week is full of project work within the English classes , during which campers will feel like students of a British private school in Cheltenham. And results of these projects can be included to a CV or portfolio. All projects aim to develop practical skills useful for entering a European or American university: working with a large amount of information, time planning, etc.
DETAILS OF PROGRAMME
FIRST WEEK. BRITISH ARTS AND CULTURE EXCURSIONS (OPTION 1)
Learning English through the cultural heritage of the great British people: Iconic Westminster, Shakespeare's Globe, National Gallery, Theatreland Walking Tour, West End Shopping, Brighton Trip
FIRST WEEK. UK SCIENCE AND HISTORY THEME EXCURSIONS (OPTION 2)
Finding out about historical events and great inventors - from the Great Fire of London to informational technologies, from Ada Lovelace to Mary Seacole: Westminster Tour, Science Museum, View from the Shard, City walking tour, Tour of Greenwich, Trip to Cambridge
SECOND WEEK. PROJECTS. BUSINESS AND MARKETING
Entertaining event for whole camp. Campers will figure out what budgeting is, find out the basics of Marketing, SMM, PR and MVP. Event examples: Movie Night, Station Fair with sticker creation, photo zone, henna drawing etc.
SECOND WEEK. PROJECTS. ART AND CREATIVITY
Reconsideration of the famous masterpieces. Recreation of the main character's image and visualisation of a painting's entourage. Photoshoot, exhibition and creation of a portfolio and virtual art gallery.
SECOND WEEK. PROJECTS. UNILAB
The laboratory of enrollment to a foreign university. Campers will find out about the enrollment possibilities and life in a foreign country, how to prepare for exams and write a motivational letter. They will do a proforientational test and plan how to get into a university of their dream.
SECOND WEEK. EXCURSION IN CHELTENHAM
The excursion will be in the quest format and can include the tasks like: take a photo in a certain historical place, to find an architectural peculiarity on a building, to find out something from a local resident. And at the end of the excursion, children can enjoy one of the favorite entertainments of an international camp - shopping.
SECOND WEEK. EXCURSION IN COTSWOLDS
A hike or a cycle tour in the Cotswolds - a National Landscape that has retained its authenticity since 1380. We will walk along the picturesque streets and look at peculiar local houses, which the ancestors of the English built to store sheep's wool in there - the sale of which was the main source of income.
EVENING PROGRAMME
Every camp day is full of different activities. The morning starts with excursions or projects, and
at noon campers study English. Either evening doesn't give a chance to get bored. There will be special evening events, discos, quizzes, and a London night walk:

ACCOMMODATION
WEEK 1
Children will live in South London, Balham. It's the most attractive part of the city, famous for its cafes, parks and gardens. Location: Burlington school, located a few minutes' walk from 3 picturesque parks and 15 minutes from the city center.

WEEK 2
Campers live in the most famous and respectable resort in England - Cheltenham. The city is widely known for its architecture, gardens and jazz festivals. Campers will stay in a historical building of the best private school, the top of the British school rating list. It's a 1-hour ride to Oxford and a 2-hour ride to London.
